Maureen's Music Studio offers Private Music Tutoring for Elementary, Middle School and High School Students
In Ontario, teacher cut-backs and increasing class sizes make it difficult for your child to get individualized attention. From dealing with peer pressure and bullying, to juggling packed schedules, kids today have more on their plates than ever before.
Music Tutoring provides personalized, one-on-one attention. Maureen will tailor sessions to best be able to help your child with his or her individual challenges. The ultimate goal is to improve your child's grade while reinforcing their knowledge, developing their skills and building their confidence.
Music Tutoring is available on a 'regular weekly time-slot basis' or on an 'occasional as-needed basis'.
a la carte Rates are $25 per 1/2 hour increment. (Other increments are pro-rated accordingly).
Discount Tuition packages available for students that enroll in 30 - 36 week academic season.
Tutoring Examples
- Assistance with music theory and other music concepts such as note naming, time values, rhythm, scales, intervals etc
- Recorder Assistance, Playing Tests
- Instrumental Playing Tests or Graded Performance Preparation
- Preparation for Music Tests (written or practical)
- Assistance on band / ensemble pieces
- Audition Preparation for Regional Arts Programs (Mayfield, St. Mikes etc)
